Overseas Bookkeeper
Painter Growth / Ironbooks Financial Operations

ROLE SUMMARY
Painter Growth is a fast-moving coaching and systems company serving painting contractors across North America. Our financial operations team supports these owners through Ironbooks, our bookkeeping and fractional CFO service. We deliver accurate books, reliable reporting, and clear financial insights that help contractors build stronger companies.

The Overseas Bookkeeper is responsible for daily transaction management, CRM-to-QBO alignment, reconciliations, AP/AR accuracy, and month-end close. This role protects financial clarity, ensures clean reporting, and helps owners see the true performance of their businesses.

This position requires strong attention to detail, consistency, accountability, and the ability to follow established processes with discipline.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Daily Bookkeeping
• Categorize daily transactions in QuickBooks Online.
• Maintain accurate chart of accounts, vendor lists, and customer records.
• Review and clear bank feeds daily.
• Flag unusual activity, missing documents, or errors immediately.

Reconciliations
• Complete monthly reconciliations for all bank and credit card accounts.
• Match CRM revenue (Jobber, Monday, DripJobs) to QBO sales entries.
• Reconcile deposits, payouts, undeposited funds, and payment processors.
• Identify discrepancies and document findings for review.

Accounts Payable and Receivable
• Enter bills, maintain vendor accuracy, and keep AP updated.
• Match incoming payments, deposits, and outstanding AR.
• Prepare weekly AP/AR summaries.
• Maintain clear documentation to support entries.

CRM and Accounting Alignment
• Compare CRM job and invoice data to QBO revenue.
• Resolve mismatches between job status, invoice status, and recorded revenue.
• Maintain accuracy between operational workflows and accounting systems.
• Surface CRM usage issues or setup gaps quickly.

Month-End Close
• Deliver monthly reconciliation packages.
• Review accounts for categorization accuracy and required adjustments.
• Support accruals, revenue recognition, and expense timing.
• Assist with monthly financial statements and client reporting.

QUALIFICATIONS
• 2 to 4 years of bookkeeping experience in QuickBooks Online.
• Strong understanding of reconciliations, AP/AR, and general ledger accuracy.
• Experience with at least one CRM used in home services (Jobber, DripJobs, Monday) is an asset.
• Ability to follow structured processes and maintain detailed records.
• Stable internet connection and ability to work within North American time windows when needed.
• Strong English communication skills.

• Daily transaction accuracy and zero uncategorized entries.
• All accounts reconciled by the established deadlines.
• CRM and QBO revenue aligned with minimal errors.
• Clean month-end close completed on schedule.
